My Story:
In 2017, there was a school biking trip where we had the opportunity to bike across the south of France. I was hesitant to go and bike for 2 weeks (8 hours per day) because I was afraid I would struggle with my blood sugars. I purchased a Dexcom and trained on a stationary bike for months before my trip. When the time came, I was very nervous but sure enough I conquered the journey and it has been my biggest accomplishment ever. I realized that diabetes does not have to stop you from anything.
