My Story:
My name is Evan and I live in the UK. I was diagnosed with Diabetes 3 years ago, just before I turned 10. The first thing my parents did when we’d had our training from the hospital was book a holiday. Diabetes was not going to stop me from having fun, traveling and seeing the world – I just need to be a bit more organized now! Since my diagnosis, I have traveled to 7 new countries and while diabetes is always there, it has to fit in with my life not the other way around. I love learning about new treatments and technology to help us manage our condition and love sharing my discoveries with others. I love to ski, and often find myself checking my blood sugar or treating lows on chairlifts. Diabetes will not stop me enjoying the mountains, I just keep my pockets filled with treatments now!
