My Story:
Hello, my name is Simone. I have had diabetes since 2013 … I created this account to share my story with type 1 diabetes. I have gone through all the ups and downs that a person with diabetes can go through, neuropathies, diabetic coma and even ketoacidosis. I have decided in some way to take charge of this. I live in a country where finding medicines to control my diabetes has become almost impossible, thank God I have relatives abroad that help me with this, but sometimes I think of the other diabetics, and I find it hard to think that they arrive at emergency rooms convulsing or with sugar so high because they do not have strips, or a glucometer to measure their sugar. I’ve learned to change my Dexcom G5 batteries and extend sensor with an algorithm. Welcome to my story.
