My Story:

I was Diagnosed at 19 ( September 16, 2007) I will never forget that day. My world changed. I didn’t want to believe it. Up until 2012 I was in denial. In 2012 I went into my 1st Dka. After that I was going to take this head on. Which I did. 6months after my Dka, I got pregnant with my 1st child. I was stoked, but the baby didn’t grow past 5 weeks. I started to blame myself. I went after this even more stronger. I told myself I was not going to fail at this. So 6 months to the day, I’m pregnant again. I cried at 1st but I would not fail. My pregnancy was perfect. A1c ….perfect….all super healthy. Baby was growing. Doctors told me to abort the baby due to complications they have seen in the past, but I told myself, “I will not let there be complications!” I kept going. On November 17, 2019 I had a c section to a healthy baby boy. That little boy is how I keep going. I will not fail for him, he gave me new life and he shows me anything is possible. YOU JUST HAVE TO WANT
