I am planning to go into law school next fall and although Type 1 Diabetes definitely makes things a little more difficult, I haven’t let it stop me from achieving my goals. I was diagnosed with T1D at the age of 19. There has been no prior history of T1D in my family and my ethnicity (Persian) T1D isn’t spoken about much. In my culture having a chronic illness or any condition in that case isn’t spoken about. I wanted to change that. I speak very openly about my T1D and my life with diabetes. I try to prove them wrong and educate them through the process.

How has Transcend helped treat your low blood sugars?
During my workouts I will most likely go low, especially when doing cardio. I pack a couple Transcend Glucose Gel packs with me in order to raise my sugar up, and my sugar will stay steady! It’s amazing.
