Transcend Warrior – Joshua Hale

My Story:

I was diagnosed at the age of 21 after getting back from Iraq. This diagnosis was the reason for my discharge from the Army. I was put on shots and that made it difficult for me to control my sugar and took away from the time I could spend outdoors camping and fishing. After getting on a new insulin pump, I was able regulate my sugars better which gave me the confidence to be out in the woods and on the river without fear of my sugar going too high or too low.

My Health Details
Type of Diabetes:Type 1
Low blood sugar instances per week:4-5 Instances
Daily number of times checking blood sugar:4-6 times/day
