My Story:
Managing lows while working in news. I have a Dexcom and just started looping, but sometimes I get those quick lows that hit me out of no where. I am constantly under deadline pressure and the anxiety I get trying to make deadlines BEFORE having time to even treat lows is terrifying.
My Health Details
Type of Diabetes:Type 1

What age were you diagnosed with diabetes?11-15

Do you have a diabetic hero that you look up to? If so, who and why?
I follow a bunch of influencers on social media, but haven’t found my spirit animal quite yet.
What is your biggest challenge with diabetes?
Not binge eating when low. I go into survival mode and over treat, then spend hours stuck in the rollercoaster cycle.
What have you learned from your experiences with diabetes?
I have learned that we have no limits. When I was first diagnosed at 11, I was told I wouldn’t be able to do certain things. I love that as technology advances, so do our chances at thriving around the world.
